Workshop Examples

Mindfulness Practices for Stress Reduction

Stress is a part of our daily life. It helps us build resilience and confidence. But too much can affect our physical and mental health in profoundly negative ways. The good news: stressors don't have to cause a stress response! In this experiential workshop, you'll receive tools and practices to help you decrease stress and build resilience. Through lecture, discussion, and guided meditation practices you'll learn to move out of your stress response (fight/flight/freeze) into your relaxation response(rest and digest). Come prepared to learn and relax!

Emotional Regulation: A Lifeline For Work and Home

Is your stress response impacting your work satisfaction? When your stress levels spike, your nervous system becomes dysregulated. In other words, you move into fight, flight or freeze. When this happens, your work suffers, relationships are negatively impacted, self-judgement increases, happiness levels plunge and you flat-out don’t enjoy your work-day. In this session, you’ll learn emotional regulation tools to find equilibrium and improve work performance and satisfaction.

Mindfulness: Practicing the Pause

Let’s explore a new definition of self-care, one that isn’t based on one more thing you should be doing to improve yourself. Self-care is not about self-improvement. It’s about paying attention. It’s about noticing and responding to your needs with kindness instead of judgement. In other words, it’s about mindfulness. Together, we’ll flex our mindfulness muscles and learn how to better regulate our nervous systems and increase states of calm and self-friendliness. You’ll come away with a deeper understanding of what keeps your body both relaxed and energized, along with a toolbox of “Take 5” mindfulness practices to use during transition times and meeting breaks.

The Process

  • This is a customized experience.

  • Choose from one of the descriptions above or take a more collaborative approach.

  • I’ll ask questions around employee needs, areas of opportunities, etc.

  • I’ll create a proposal based on the goals and aspirations of the company with a description and basic outline for your approval.

  • You send the invites and host the event.

  • Employees receive a resource link post-event to practice and integrate what they learned.
